FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to a gas-liquid ventilator consisting of a liquid ventilator and a gas ventilator connected by a three-way ball valve with an electric drive controlled by a control unit. Gas-liquid ventilator is configured so that to switch from the gas-liquid artificial pulmonary ventilation to the liquid artificial pulmonary ventilation, a command is supplied from the control unit, and the gas-liquid artificial pulmonary ventilation apparatus terminates operation only when the patient’s expiratory phase is completed. Then liquid ventilator is activated, which begins operation with phase of exhalation of patient, and for transition of liquid ventilator to gas ventilator liquid ventilator completes operation at phase of exhalation of patient. Then the control unit switches the three-way ball valve to the gas ventilator, and the gas ventilator resumes operation from the patient’s exhalation phase. Output of control unit is connected to inputs of devices of liquid artificial pulmonary ventilation and gas artificial pulmonary ventilation, and the outputs of the liquid ventilator and the gas ventilator are connected by T-bends to two inputs of the three-way ball valve, respectively. Outlet of three-way ball valve is connected with help of nozzle to endotracheal tube.

EFFECT: improving the quality of the respiratory support aiming at reducing the mortality of the patients suffering respiratory failure and eliminating complications.
