FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and a background simulator. Background simulator comprises a photometric sphere with an output window, an illuminator, a field diaphragm located in the focal plane of a collimating lens. Illuminator is movable with possibility of axial movement in the direction of the photometric sphere radius. In addition, n fixed illuminators are introduced, where n ≥ 1, located on the inner surface of the photometric ball, and a control panel providing independent activation of each of n fixed illuminators. Field diaphragm is aligned with the output window of the photometric sphere.
EFFECT: wider range and higher level of reproducible background brightness.
