FIELD: instrumentation engineering, measurement of photometric parameters at airports. SUBSTANCE: invention deals with measurement of optical characteristics of atmosphere while determining visibility of light landmarks on runway in process of meteorological support of aviation action on airfield. Pulse photometer ensures measurement of visibility range of light landmarks on runway as visibility range of light landmarks is input parameter of calculator but not output one as it is assumed for calculations by known iteration method. At same time lgI is light intensity of light landmarks on runway and is output parameter of photometer which allows controller degree of brightness of landmarks on runway that is necessary to be switched on to be determined under given conditions of visibility. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability and efficiency. 1 dwg
