FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to microbiology and medicine, particularly to diagnostics and genotyping of pathogenic leptospiras. What is presented is a method for detection and genotyping of pathogenic leptospires in clinical samples. Diagnosis and genotyping are carried out with the use of oligodeoxyribonucleotide primers complementary to sections of the detected fragments. DNA is amplified by lipl32 gene section; positive samples are sequentially amplified by two gene fragments rpoB and secY followed by Sanger sequencing.
EFFECT: invention provides higher specificity and reliability of the diagnosis, as well as wider range of tools used for the taxonomic characteristics of leptospira.
