FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: method of prognostic assessment of hepatotoxicity in HIV-infected individuals during antiretroviral therapy is described. The method is based on the determination of deletion polymorphism of human xenobiotic biotransformation genes. The method involves the extraction of DNA from biological material followed by a polymerase chain reaction for the target genes and the reference normalization gene using a set of oligodeoxyribonucleotide primers and corresponding fluorescently labeled probes complementary to the regions of the detected fragments. Also a set of oligodeoxyribonucleotide primers and fluorescently labeled probes for amplifying GSTM1, GSTT1, CYP2D6 target genes and RPP30 reference normalization gene is described.

EFFECT: creation of a method of determining the hereditary predisposition of a person to the manifestation of hepatotoxicity of antiretroviral medicinal products.
