FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for producing sodium ferrate in the form of an electrochemical reactor containing two cathode chambers, one anode chamber with at least one anode located between cathode chambers with cathode in the form of cathode frames with membranes separating the above chambers, and side chamber located at ends of cathode and anode chambers. In this case, the electrochemical reactor is equipped with two units for supplying the alkaline electrolyte NaOH to the lower part of the cathode chambers, a unit for dispensing a solution of sodium ferrate dissolved in NaOH from the upper part of the anode chamber, and the side chamber is equipped with a photocolorimetric sensor for determining the concentration of said sodium ferrate solution located in the flow cell, and is configured to accumulate said sodium ferrate solution coming from the anode chamber and return said sodium ferrate solution to the anode chamber.
EFFECT: use of the invention increases efficiency and prolongs the service life of the device.
