SUBSTANCE: invention relates to support device for furniture shelves for double-sided connection of shelf with opposite panels of furniture item. Shelf-supporting device for two-sided connection of a shelf with panels of a furniture item is configured to be inserted into a socket formed in said shelf along the thickness, and comprises a main body, which is connected with possibility of sliding with connecting pin, movable between first working position, in which said pin projects from said shelf with possibility of insertion into housing socket formed on one of said panels, and a second retracted position in which said pin does not protrude from said shelf or protrudes with possibility of release from said seat in housing. Main body comprises on its outer surface one or more protruding elements that are configured to protrude outward from said main body, made in such a way that the forces that the pin transmits to the shelf bracket are transmitted to the shelf through the protruding elements. One or more protruding elements pass along entire length of side surfaces of main body, have transverse length in accordance with the front part of the main body and converge with a reduction in their overall dimensions in the transverse direction towards the rear part of the device, opposite the front part.
EFFECT: ensuring complete concealment of the device from view when the shelf is assembled, while ensuring safe and stable connection of the shelf, capable of withstanding even very heavy loads.
