FIELD: aviation equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method for determining water content under icing conditions is disclosed, in which the air flow through the sample line is formed only due to the aerodynamic head of oncoming air; performing measurements in the sample line and in the reference line of relative humidity with relative humidity sensors, temperature sensors – with temperature sensors, pressure sensors – with strain sensors; air flow rate is formed through the reference line by additionally heating the air with a heater controlled by the control unit using a bridge circuit with feedback on air pressure in the sample line and the reference line, measured by pressure sensors, providing air flow in the reference line equal to the air flow in the sample line; determining the sample and the reference sample absolute humidity based on the sample and the reference sample measured relative humidity and temperatures in the sample line and the reference line according to the reference table; total water content equal to absolute humidity of ambient air is determined. Also disclosed is a device for determining water content in icing conditions.
EFFECT: simple measurement of water content and miniaturisation of the device for use thereof in flight tests of anti-icing systems of aircraft during their certification.
