SUBSTANCE: invention relates to 3D displays for direct glasses-free viewing of 3D video on a stereo screen of said stereo display. Stereo display comprises: a stereo screen with a colour transmissive LCD video matrix for forming screen images of the left and right frames of a horizontal stereo pair; an array of light-emitting diodes with a programmed matrix scanning controller of the switched-on light-emitting diodes for backlighting said video matrix, mounted on an automatic drive for automatic adjustment of the distance between said light-emitting diode matrix and the video matrix; electronic-optical tracking system for video monitoring of centres of pupils of user’s eyes and generation of control signals supplied to this controller and to automatic drive for automatic generation by light-emitting diodes and condensers of collimated pixel elements of the screen image, automatically dynamically focused into certain point focal areas of stereovision by the same eyes of a single-view user, or two-aspect, or three-aspect left and right frames of a stereo pair.
EFFECT: creation of an arsenal of thin stereo displays for smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktop, floor-mounted, wall-mounted and portable stereo displays and 3D televisions for full-comfort long-term stereo observation.
