FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the computer equipment. Stereo display comprises: a single-screen stereoscreen made of a mirror placed in front of the user's eyes to form a screen image of left and right frames of a horizontal stereopair with subsequent reflection and focusing of image light beams into the calculated area of the focal zone of direct vision of images of frames of the horizontal stereoscopic by the user's same eyes; matrix of a horizontal stereopair, containing a raster of light-modulating elements, with a connected controller for formation of a raster video image of frames in the form of a horizontal stereopair; wherein the front side of the matrix is located at a predetermined distance in front of the stereoscreen mirror and oriented with the possibility of direct clear mirror reflection of the stereoscopic video image from the matrix; converting converter is installed in stereo display for conversion of standard video signal.
EFFECT: operation with stereoscopic images using stereo displays, video cameras for 3D video shooting, video recording of this information and computer methods for video editing of 3D video recordings and formation of 3D graphics.
