FIELD: vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods used for replacement of component parts of running gear of military caterpillar vehicles. Method for dismantling road wheels of a military caterpillar vehicle consists in that additional road wheel is arranged directly under military caterpillar vehicle bottom. Then caterpillar military vehicle is hooked by means of cable to towing device, displacing it, resting against additional road wheel bottom, raising it above underlying surface, road wheels to be replaced are freely hung in air.
EFFECT: lower labour input in assembly/disassembly of road wheels of military caterpillar vehicles.
