FIELD: laboratory equipment.

SUBSTANCE: laboratory unit for producing gas hydrates and compressing hydrate pellets, comprising a cylindrical working cell with an outer steel thermal jacket connected to a thermostat; on one side, working cell is closed by movable piston with possibility of hydrate pellets pressing containing gas supply channel and separator with possibility of inner channel protection against hydrate mass ingress; pressure sensor connected to a DC source is connected to the gas supply channel, and a gas booster with possibility of adjusting the pressure of the gas hydrate former; on the other side, the working cell is closed by a fixed removable obturator, to which a temperature sensor, a signal converter and a computer are connected in series with the possibility of recording pressure and temperature data in the working cell; working cell on both sides is fixed in support plates, which are interconnected by three steel columns; hydraulic cylinder is screwed into upper end plate, to which hydraulic hand pump and piston rod are connected. Also disclosed is method of using laboratory apparatus for producing gas hydrates and pressing hydrate pellets.

EFFECT: obtaining gas hydrates of different gases and compressing pellets from the obtained hydrate mass in one cell.
