SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in maintenance of internal combustion engines. Method for cleaning an internal combustion engine from carbon deposits consists of feeding a hydrogen-oxygen mixture into the air intake system of a running internal combustion engine, followed by mixing the hydrogen-oxygen mixture with the fuel-air mixture and feeding the mixture into the combustion chamber. Hydrogen-oxygen mixture is produced by means of autonomous installation by water electrolysis. Cleaning solution is placed in autonomous installation tank prior to ICE cleaning. Cleaning solution is foamed by means of pump arranged in autonomous installation. Foamed cleaning solution is mixed with hydrogen-oxygen mixture formed as a result of electrolysis before supply to the inlet channel of the engine. Foamed cleaning solution is supplied to the inlet path together with the gas mixture. Cleaning solution is an aqueous solution containing an anionic surfactant, complexing agent configured to increase efficiency of anionic surfactant and reduce sodium deposits on internal combustion engine parts, and an additive for reducing corrosion of engine parts.
EFFECT: improved cleaning of internal combustion engine from carbon deposits.
