TIDAL HPP Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC F03B13/26 E02B9/08

Abstract RU 2732359 C1

FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of self-contained tidal damless HPPs intended for generation of electric energy from high tides at sea coasts. HPP is characterized by the presence of cylindrical container 1 and storage container 2, connected at the upper level by discharge pipe 3, at lower level – by pipeline 4 for water drain equipped with reverse shutoff valve 5. In reservoir 1 at its base there is a bidirectional hydraulic turbine of Wells 6 kinematically connected to electric generator 7. Pipeline 4 is located above hydraulic turbine 6. In reservoir 1 there is hole 8 for water inlet, located on level below hydraulic turbine 6, and hole 9 for air outlet in its upper part.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the amount of generated electric energy.
