FIELD: controlling.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to the control and monitoring procedure and can be used both for network monitoring of technical state of information and telecommunication networks (ITCN) elements, and for monitoring the state of the entire network as a whole. Essence of invention consists in collection, accumulation and intelligent analysis of measurement information on technical state of network elements (network devices, channels, paths, routes, nodes, segments, subnets), respectively, at hardware, channel and structural levels of ITCN, detecting (identifying) their abnormal states and providing the decision support system with the calculated values of sufficiency of the involved resources of each level to eliminate emergency failures, loads and operating modes by adjusting the parameters of network elements or replacing them with backup ones, as well as building network structures in case of degradation of ITCN. Method for intelligent monitoring of the state of the ITCN in order to prevent degradation of the network is carried out using several steps: a preliminary step, at which initial monitoring data are set; first stage, at which a surveillance circuit is formed and measurement information is collected from network devices, network connections and network structures of the distributed ITCN, as well as its transmission from the network monitoring servers to the situational centre servers; second stage, at which the technical state of the network elements in the servers of the situational centre for assessing reliability, assessing noise immunity and assessing survivability (connectivity) of the network is assessed; third stage, during which a network elements control loop is formed by redistribution of local parametric (adjustment of parameters), telecommunication (adjustment of transmission levels in communication channels) and structural (re-routing) network resources, as well as additional hardware (redundancy of network devices), channel (redundancy of communication channels) and topological (change of topology) network resources; the final stage, which consists in updating the state of the monitoring system, predicting the state of network elements, generating various types of reports (protocols) and forming a "data mart" for the entire monitoring cycle.
EFFECT: intellectualization of network monitoring procedure based on multi-agent approach.
