SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in sun-protection coatings, which can be used, for example, in the field of architectural and automotive transparent structures. Coated sun-protection article comprises a substrate comprising a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a functional coating applied over the first surface or the second surface, wherein the functional coating comprises a blocking layer lying on top at least part of substrate and directly contacting at least part of substrate, wherein the blocking layer comprises a first film, a second film and a third film, the first film of the blocking layer is a blocking film which contains silicon oxide, silicon-aluminium oxide, silicon oxynitride, silicon-aluminium oxynitride or a combination thereof and the total thickness of the blocking film is from 50 Å to 350 Å metal layer on top of at least part of the blocking layer, and an upper layer over at least a portion of the metal layer, wherein the coated article is quenched.
EFFECT: invention enables, when heating articles coated with sun-protection coatings, to exclude undesirable colour shift due to changes in the optical properties of the sun-protection coating layers, that is, to obtain a sun-protection coating in which the absorption of the coating and/or the colour of the coated article can be maintained before and after heating.
