SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to use 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-3-acetylglycerola (PLAG) for treating or preventing acute radiation sickness in a subject also relates to use of 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-3-acetylglycerol (PLAG) for treatment subject exposed to adverse ionizing radiation, also refers to set for use in the treatment or prevention of acute radiation disease in subject including: (a) 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-3-acetylglycerol (PLAG); (b) instructions for using PLAG for treating or preventing acute radiation sickness (ARS) in a subject, also refers to set for use in the treatment or prevention of excessive effect of ionizing radiation, including: (a) 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-3-acetylglycerol (PLAG); (b) instructions for using PLAG for treating or preventing excessive exposure to ionizing radiation, also relates to a set for use in treating or preventing one or more subsyndromes of acute radiation sickness including: (a) 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-3-acetylglycerol (PLAG); (b) instructions for using PLAG for treating or preventing one or more sub-syndromes of acute radiation sickness.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides the induction of an increase in the levels of various immune cells, which were reduced by radiation on the ARS study models, in a significant increase in the survival rate of mice after irradiation, in the positive effect of PLAG on each symptom (reducing the level of mucositis and increasing the number of neutrophils in the blood), which affects the survival rate in the animal model of acute radiation sickness, and on the recovery of skin damage in the animals exposed to radiation.
