FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industrial ecology and more specifically to cleaning flue gas from a cupola glass-melting furnace used to produce mineral fibre. Flue gas cleaning system for cupola glass-melting furnace includes heating element, desulphurizing reactor and gas filter, which are in-series located in direction of flue gas flow. Heating element is capable of heating flue gas released from cupola glass-melting furnace. Desulphurising reactor is capable of providing dry mixing of flue gas with particles of the sulphur oxide adsorbent. Gas filter, made using ceramic candle-shaped filter elements, is capable of passing flue gas and retaining sulphur oxide adsorbent particles.
EFFECT: removing sulphur oxide from flue gas released from a cupola glass-melting furnace using dry mixing of flue gas with particles of the sulphur oxide adsorbent.
