FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: continuous processing method of solid domestic and industrial wastes in molten slag involves drying and supply of charge in minimum portions to different places of the bath, where it is burnt and molten in bubbled molten slag. Combustion products are thermally decomposed and washed under cowling by means of gas washers of multi-zone furnace at temperature of 1350°C, which allows removing halogens from wastes and dissociated chlorine along the path to turbine gas cooling. Furnace gas is washed by means of gas-liquid medium ejected with bubbled molten metal which contains excess hydrogen and CO. Due to controlled synthesis in furnace zones there created are new substances which are neutralised in spray absorber of dry gas cleaning. Flue gas cooling is performed at three stages and completed in electrostatic precipitator, induced-draft fan and stack. The proposed method has been implemented in the Waste incinerator of new generation (MSZnp-15) project, by means of which 15 tonnes of waste per hour is thermally neutralised. Allowable content of halogens in waste is not more than 0.6 wt %. Waste classification degree is arbitrary. Natural gas consumption in furnace is 5000 m3/h. Predicted calculation has shown that continuous waste processing method at MSZnp-15 allows reducing the content of controlled emissions of hazardous substances below maximum allowable concentration norm (Russia), as well as reducing emissions of non-controlled high-toxicity dioxins and furans in stack by 800 times, in comparison to the European norm equal to 0.1 ng/m3, which has been adopted in Russia.
EFFECT: providing ecological security of environment, elimination of landfill burial of waste, gradual elimination of dioxin aggression in regions, obtaining new products enriched with colloids, and reducing radioactive background in melting products; creation of raw material base for nanoindustry.
