FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: engineering solution relates to electrical engineering, particularly to electric power systems, and can be used for switching on, off and control of power transformer voltage during deviation and fluctuation of supply mains voltage and (or) load current from nominal level. Between maximum and minimum control levels of supply mains voltage and/or load current relative to rated level there output is corresponding intermediate level of voltage control divided by appropriate voltage control ranges, where voltage control ranges are divided into upper and lower ones. Besides, possibilities are created to ensure connection and disconnection of power transformer without occurrence of negative effects on normal operation of electric equipment of power supply systems, despite of voltage instability in supply mains and (or) current on load. Scope of the proposed control method is transformer substations of all branches of power supply systems with power of up to 63 MV⋅A with voltages 35/(10-6) kV and power up to 2.5 MV⋅A with voltages (10-6)/0.4 kV. Proposed method is most suitable for transformer substations of power supply systems, where there is need to provide multistage narrow-band voltage regulation within ±16% relative to the nominal voltage level at the input of the power transformer and at the load with high technical and economic indicators.
EFFECT: improving energy indicators of power supply systems due to expanding the voltage control limit (range) on the high side of the power transformer of the substation and improving voltage sinusoidality at the input and output of the power transformer.
