FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves acetylation of semicarbazide with acetic anhydride, cyclization of 1-acetylsemicarbazide in alkaline medium at heating, condensation of 3-methyl-1,2,4-triazolone-5 with epichlorohydrin at 98-100 C in the presence of lower tetraalkylhalogenides, dehydrochlorination of condensation products with alkali hydroxides at 50-52 C. Urea used as parent raw is hydrazinized at reaction mixture boiling for 1.5-2 h at inert gas bubbling, mainly nitrogen. Acetylation of semicarbazide is carried out at 70-80 C in atmosphere of inert gas, mainly nitrogen; cyclization of 1-acetylsemicarbazide is carried out at 98-100 C for 1-1.5 h, and condensation of 3-methyl-1,2,4-triazolone-5 with epichlorohydrin and dehydrochlorination of condensation product - in the presence of 20-30% water of triazolone mass. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
