SUBSTANCE: method comprising charging of different grain-size charge materials to vertically concentric zones of shaft area includes steps of sustaining ratio of depth of surface profile of loaded charge materials onto shaft to its diameter in range 0.13-0.21; averaging data concerning with profile of loaded charge material surface onto shaft over time period equal to 0.05-0.20 of time interval of presence of charge materials in blast furnace. EFFECT: lowered specific consumption of coke, increased efficiency of furnace due to enhanced effectiveness of controlling actions upon blast furnace process.
