FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method includes averaging of qualitative characteristics of gas temperature distribution along furnace radius and degrees of carbon oxide utilisation in furnace mouth gas during process time intervals of furnace operation and their comparison between themselves to estimate extremum of graphic chart between them at which maximum utilisation of carbon oxide in blast furnace is achieved. At that averaging of qualitative characteristics of gas temperature distribution and degrees of carbon oxide utilisation is carried out during furnace operation between two plugging periods of an iron tap at adjacent tapping of melting products out of the furnace. Yet to compare characteristics of gas temperature distribution and degrees of carbon oxide utilisation between themselves their values for 50-60 periods of averaging furnace operation are used; at that values of the first one are set off against the second one further in time for two periods of averaging.

EFFECT: simplification of method of estimation of optimum gas distribution in furnace.
