FIELD: mechanical engineering; machine tools. SUBSTANCE: spindle is rotated at working speed, and measuring instruments are moved along surface of cylindrical mandrel. To increase accuracy of measurement, measuring instruments are freely fitted on spindle and are braked relative to base and axis of spindle which is moved relative to checking mandrel installed on working bench coaxially with axis of rotation of spindle. Checking mandrel is rotated at a speed whose summary value together with vibration frequency of mass of measuring instruments, exceeds natural frequency of instrument output signal. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of checking.
