FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: piezoelectric generator has shock-wave generator and shock-wave-to-electric energy converter with electrodes on two opposite faces parallel to shock wave propagation direction. Converter is made in the form of set of rectangular plates inscribed in cylindrical surface with their polarization vectors perpendicular to electrodes mounted on large faces of plates tightly fitted to each other with their faces aimed at like-polarity electrodes and electrically connected in parallel; faces of plates facing shock-wave generator, which is flat-wave device, lie in common plane. Electrodes may be optionally placed on small faces of places and adjacent plates with unlike-polarity electrodes may form two-side angles.. EFFECT: improved specific energy take-off.
