FIELD: pulse engineering. SUBSTANCE: generator uses n-step multiplication circuit and has high-voltage source and load both connected to common bus, storage capacitors and isolating circuits set up of chokes; one lead of first storage capacitor is connected to common bus and other one, through charging resistor to high-voltage lead of high-voltage source; first multiplication step includes first storage capacitor, choke, and common switch all connected in series; novelty is that storage capacitors of all multiplication steps are connected in series and all of them, except for first multiplication step, form resonance-tuned LC circuits incorporating two adjacent storage capacitors and choke; one of these capacitors is connected to its own and preceding tuned circuits and choke is connected in parallel to them; load is connected through additionally introduced peaker to point of connection of n storage capacitor and n choke, where n = 2, 3, 4, ... EFFECT: improved multiplication factor of generator without increasing number of multiplication steps.
