FIELD: underwater acoustics. SUBSTANCE: generator of underwater acoustic signals has source of compressed air, radiating extension piece linked with inlet hole to collecting chamber across which inlet throttling valve is placed, gas release mechanism located in radiating extension piece and including shutting piston with spring and adjustment screw. For increased reliability of operation under self-sufficient mode , simplified tuning and provision of adequacy of these signals to biological ones shutting piston is put into inlet hole of radiating extension piece, is pressed with bellows or flexible shell which internal space is sealed and communicates with environment. In agreement with second version throttling valve is mounted outside and includes needle. EFFECT: increased reliability, simplified tuning and provision of adequacy of generator signals to biological ones.
