FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of periodical feeding of metal, being pressurized, from downwards into the mold 1 and to a shell of the billet 3; periodical drawing of hollow billet 3 from the mold with use of contacting cooling plates 4; changing a position of the billet to horizontal one in a heat insulation chamber 14 in a non-oxidizing gas atmosphere, and subsequent reduction of the hollow billet to solid one by rolling it in the rolling mill 21 in such a way, that bending, straightening, reduction of the billet are being performed at time periods of idling between drawing operation of the billet, and sustaining temperature of gaseous medium, being equal to rolling temperature. The method provides elimination of additional operation of heating the billet and descaling its surface upon feeding the billet to the rolling mill and also realization of rolling between drawing operations of the billet.
