FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: the claimed method reduces the gas outbursts and increases the service life of the oven by stabilizing its hydraulic conditions. The method comprises spraying gases with ammonia water in gas-bleeding risers in the coking process and injecting gases during charging the coke oven by feeding an injecting agent at high pressure to the gas-bleeding risers. The injecting agent is ammonia water or steam or coke oven gas. Prior to charging the oven, the pressure of the injecting agent is raised from the initial to the operating pressure, and after the oven is charged, the initial pressure is gradually reduced from the operating to the initial pressure. The ammonium water pressure is raised or reduced at a rate of 61-136 kPa·s-1. The steam or compressed oven gas pressure is raised or reduced at a rate of 18-34 kPa·s-1. The initial steam or compressed coke oven gas pressure is 186-294 kPa. EFFECT: greater efficiency of the method. 4 cl, 3 dwg
