CENTRIFUGAL APPARATUS TO SCREEN LOOSE MATERIALS INTO SIZES Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract SU 1367252 A2

FIELD: loose materials screening technology. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has separating drum, formed by butt rings 1, connected by longitudinal rods 2. The drum is embraced by deflecting shell 10. In the case, shell 10 embraces the drum at the beginning of its second quarter from dumping end of loading baffle 11 with in series decrease of radial clearance with cylindrical surface of the drum and to the beginning of the third quarter and with increase of the clearance from the beginning of third quarter of the drum. Cut-off 12 is mounted at the beginning of shell 10 so as to be capable to move forward from shell 10 to the first quarter. Made in shell 10 side slits correspond to the second half of the third quarter and to the first half of the fourth quarter of the drum. Width of slits is changed by regulator. Baffle 11 feeds initial material to rods 2 in the beginning of the first quarter of the drum. During drum rotation and air pumping out zones of increased and decreased pressure from inner and outer sides of rods 2 are correspondingly formed around rods 2. Fine fraction is pulled inside the drum. Big size fraction is thrown away by rods 2 along drum rotation direction. Interim fraction is thrown away together with big size fraction, cut by cut off 12 and, moving on surface of shell 10, is separated from fine fractions once more. Then it is discharged through discharging slits of shell 10. EFFECT: increased quality of loose material screening into sizes due to repeated separation of interim fraction and its separate discharge. 2 cl, 2 dwg
