FIELD: composite materials. SUBSTANCE: method involves the steps of: subjecting a mixture of powdered cubic boron nitride with powdered metallic binder with a grain size less than 1 micron with powdered solid alloy with granularity of 1-10 micron and fibrous aluminium oxide crystals to pressing under pressure of 5-10 kbars, degassing the pressed blank in vacuum of 10-3-10-4 tors and further pressing under pressure of 15-20 kbars at melt temperature of the metallic binder with isothermic maintaining for 0.5-1.5 hours, cooling the blank up to a room temperature and irradiating with gamma-quanta with a dose of 104-107 roentgen. EFFECT: enhanced cutting properties of superhard material in machining nickel-based alloys. 1 tbl
