FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: product: 4-haloidalkyl-2,6-ditert. -butylphenols of the formula where R - tert. -butyl and R1= H at n 1-3, or R1= CH3 at n 2, Tal Cl, Br. Method involves interaction of corresponding hydroxyalkyl-2,6-ditert.-butylphenols with halogenating agent at 50-100 C in the medium of solvent (dimethylformamide), and process is carried out at the mole ratio of hydroxyalkyl-2,6-ditert. -butylphenol halogenating agent dimethylformamide (0.8-3):1:(1-3) for 1-3 hr. The yield of the end products is up to 98% among of that 4-(3-bromo-1-methylpropyl)-2,6-ditert.-butylphenol is a new compound. Synthesized compounds were used as semiconductors for synthesis of polymer stabilizing agents. EFFECT: increased yield of products. 1 tbl
