FIELD: precision measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: device has body 2 with polyhedral mirror 4 suspended in housing 1, optical angle-data transmitter 5, moment generator 7 with windings located in housing 1, adjustment unit 6, angle setters 12 and 14, time-interval counters 13 and 15, calculator 16 and unit for switching-off of moment generator 7. Preliminary adjustment of body 2 is accomplished by controllable source 23, with unit 17 switched on, by way of turning of body 2 by moment generator 7 relative to housing 1. Equilibrium position of body 2 is determined according to the output signal of optical angle-data transmitter 5 in an analog and/or digital form. For measurement of moment unit 17 disconnects the windings of the moment generator, and the body starts rotating at a high speed under the action of disturbing moment. Angle setters 12 and 14 made as digital comparators register the time of passage of preset angles by body 2 by applying stop signals to time-interval counters 13 and 15. According to the obtained time intervals calculator 16 determines acceleration of body 2 and the moment acting on it on the basis of the Newton's law of motion. Further measurement of disturbing moment can be taken in points corresponding to the angular positions of faces of polyhedral mirror 4 by successive turns of body 2 by means of switched on moment generator. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurement of disturbing moments by determination of object angular acceleration arising under the influence of these moments. 1 dwg
