FIELD: catalyst chemistry, namely preparation of catalyst for cracking oil fractions and afterburning carbon oxide upon process of regeneration of the catalyst. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of mixing aqueous suspension of zeolite NaJ with preliminarily introduced into it rare earth elements and H2PtCl6, an aqueous solution of aluminium sulfate and aqueous solution of sodium silicate; then coagulation and(or) syneresis, activation by nitrate or ammonium sulfate, further washing out of hydrogel, had been received, drying it and calcining. In order to obtain the catalyst in the form of microspheres the washed out hydrogel is being subjected to dispersion, spray drying and calcining. The method provides elimination of drying stage of the catalyst before introduction of H2PtCl6 into it.
