FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves interaction of trimellite anhydride, aromatic primary diamine and ε-caprolactam at molar ratio 1: (0.8-1): (0.2-1.2), respectively, in the presence of tri-(2-hydroxyethyl)isocyanourate at concentration 0.05-0.3 mole per 1 mole trimellite anhydride. Condensation is carried out in the medium of organic solvent at 200-220 C in the presence of catalyst up to preparing the resin with softening point 85-135 C by method "ring-and-ball". EFFECT: polyamidoimides prepared shows improved technological properties. 1 tbl
