FIELD: concentration of useful minerals. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring the intensity of afterglow of mineral luminescence excited by pulsating radiation. The amplitude of intensity signal is stabilized at a preset level and maintained at this level up to the termination of the measuring process. The measuring time interval is selected to be equal to the minimum duration of afterglow out of thew possible range of afterglow intensities of the useful mineral. The afterglow intensity is measured at the beginning and end of the preset time interval The time of beginning of measurement is selected to be equal to the moment of termination of the transition process from forced luminescence of minerals to the luminescence of afterglow. The rate of changes of afterglow intensity is determined at the preset time interval and this rate is used for separation of minerals. The stabilization level is judged by the intensity of the afterglow signal of luminescence at the beginning of the preset measuring time interval. EFFECT: higher selectivity. 3 cl, 2 dwg
