FIELD: medicine; surgery. SUBSTANCE: sterile surgical thread is placed into saturated solution of alcohol-soluble antibiotic or mixture of antibiotics in 96-% ethanol, followed by drying thread, treating it with 10-% adhesive solution in acetone and air drying until adhesive gets polymerized on thread. Thread preserves its antimicrobial activity for 6-8 days, thereby decreasing rate of suppurative-inflammatory complications. EFFECT: simplification process.
