FIELD: biotechnology, virology. SUBSTANCE: transplanted strain of human monocytes ЭВК-ИРА/3 - a producer of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 ( HIV-I) is obtained on the basis of human transformed monocyte cells (cellular strain-937). Cells are infected with HIV-I (from patient with AIDS) following by cloning and isolation of cell clone showing chronic infection with HIV-I. These cells produce HIV-I continuously. Obtained strain of cell-producers HIV-I is stable at cultivation (it does not require undersowing of uninfected cells, cultivation under atmosphere of CO2, special nutrient media with expensive additives). It shows technological effectiveness and can be cultured at roller-suspension regime. Strain is deposited at N 4005 in Collection VNII of Molecular Biology and Virology Institutes. EFFECT: high and stable level of virus production, simplified method of virus cultivation. 1 tbl
