FIELD: hydroacoustics. SUBSTANCE: transducer has identical sections of set of tightly coupled alternating piezoceramic and spherical plastic rings whose length ratio is 14:3; electrodes of piezoceramic rings are electrically coupled in parallel. Section pairs form n+1 parts (n = 1,1,3,...); first sections of each part, except for part n+1, are connected to secondary windings of respective identical transformers and to second sections via resonance-tuned LC circuits whose frequency equals half the resonance frequency of section mechanical vibrations. Primary windings of transformers corresponding to even and odd values of n are connected in phase opposition. First section of part n+1 is coupled with input of amplifier-inverter whose output is connected to electrodes of second section of part n+1 via inductance coil forming, together with section capacitor, resonance-tuned circuit of frequency equal to half the resonance frequency of section mechanical vibrations. When transducer is operating, travelling wave propagates and acoustic energy is radiated by side surface of transducer at angle α. This enhances active compensation of back radiation.
