FIELD: photography. SUBSTANCE: sensitization is carried out by adding sodium thiosulfate, sodium benzenesulfonate and chloroauric acid into origin emulsion which has average size of microcrystals 0.15-1.0 μm and which contains 0.6-7 mol of silver iodide. Quantities of said compounds are (0,25-1,92)·10-3 g/g Ag, (1,75-3,5)·10-1 g/g Ag and (0,1-0,6)·10-4 g/g Ag respectively. Before or after adding sodium thiosulfate monodisperse emulsion which has average size of monocrystals 0.03-0.5 μm and which contains 0.6-7 mol of silver iodide is added into origin emulsion. Ratio of average sizes of monocrystals of origin and added emulsion is 1:0.2-0.53, amount of silver in added emulsion being 1-5 mass of its amount in origin emulsion. EFFECT: increases photosensitivity, decreases density of fog. 4 tbl
