SUBSTANCE: recovery of chromium (VI) from aqueous solutions by passing the aqueous solutions through a column containing an organic sorbent followed by desorption with sodium hydroxide solutions wherein the organic sorbent is a product of reaction between a chloromethylated styrene-divinyl benzene copolymer and dimethylformamide.
