ACCELERATING SYSTEM Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract SU 1639406 A1

FIELD: acceleration engineering; mechanically driven accelerators for investigations in various industries. SUBSTANCE: accelerating system is built up of revolving magnets with stationary radial field whose plane of revolution is perpendicular to orbit of particles. Revolving magnetos are arranged in accelerating unit in pairs with relatively opposite senses of rotation and relatively perpendicular directions of magnetic field. EFFECT: improved performance characteristics due to reduced power requirement for accelerating particles. 2 cl, 3 dwg
