FIELD: machine engineering. SUBSTANCE: hammer includes a head with lateral sides, inclined relative to a vertical line by an angle α, and shoes, arranged in a lower part of guide struts and jointly connected with toggle mechanisms. Friction inserts have openings, connected with a ventilation system. The head with a container, filled by rubber, is being fallen onto a heated blank for forging it. The drop had been performed, the head jumps upwards, the toggle mechanisms operate, and their shoes provide fixation of the head by its lateral surfaces. The toggle mechanism lifts the head to its initial position, and rubber combustion products are being absorbed through the openings of the friction inserts. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and safety conditions. 1 cl, 2 dwg
