FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: gear pump has housing made up as central spacer 1 and two side covers 2 and 3, in cylindrical bores of which gears with journals 6 and 7 are received, and thrust bearing made up as a flexible plate and provided with ring grooves 10 and 11 on non-working surface consisting of two parts 8 and 9, the split plane of which passes through the pole of engaging perpendicular to the line of centers. The journals are set in bearings. Face cover 2 is provided with two grooves 12 to define ring projections 13 and 14. The bearing thrust is received in grooves 12 of face cover 2. Ring projections 13 and 14 are mated with ring grooves 10 and 11. The outer diameter of ring projections 13 and 14 is equal to the diameter of ring grooves 10 and 11. The depth of ring grooves 10 and 11 is less than the height of ring projections 13 and 14. A projection mated with the working surface of the thrust bearing can be made on central insert 1 on the suction side in the zone of crossing of the cylindric grooves.
