FIELD: superhigh frequency oscillators. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to orotrons of millimeter and submillimeter wave ranges and can be used in metrology for frequency measurement, in spectroscopy and flaw detection in dielectrics. Radiation mixer is manufactured in accordance with invention formula and is placed inside vacuum part of orotron. With such arrangement mixing of frequency of reference signal and of harmonic components of generation signal of orotron takes place. As power is fed on harmonics of generation frequency of orotron via electron current outside interaction region processes of interaction inside this region are not disturbed and tapping of portion of radiation of orotron for measurement of its frequency is not required. EFFECT: decreased power threshold of orotron while measuring its frequency. 2 dwg
