FIELD: polymer chemistry. SUBSTANCE: method involves block polymerization of methylmethacrylate in the presence of dicyclohexylperoxydicarbonate, naphthalene, 2,5-diphenyloxazole and 1,4-di-(5-phenyloxazolyl-2)-benzene by polymerization at 22-30 C up to conversion degree 5-10%, then by polymerization at temperature decreased by 4-10 C up to conversion degree 80-87%, and then at 30-35 C up to conversion degree 90-95% following by additional polymerization at 110-120 C. Plastic scintillator can be prepared for 50-60 h, light output is up to 140, translucence at 365 nm is up to 85% and absorption coefficient is up to 0.0002.
