FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method provides for preparation of exothermic mixture of powders of metals and nonmetals, briquetting of mixture layers and filler, placing of exothermic mixture and filler as alternating layers, local initiation of burning reaction in mixture with following hot deformation of products of burning. Method allows to increase operational durability of pieces, adding diamond powder of dispersity of no less than 63 microns in amount of 7 - 50 volume % in filler or mixture.
