FIELD: magnetic separation of liquid media. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic isolation of fine magnetic particles from liquid-dispersion media. Separator body 2 incorporates ferromagnetic matrix in the form of pelletized charge 8 and rods 3 arranged along medium under separation. Charge 8 is separated from rods 3 with a spring-loaded perforated bottom 5 provided from below with triangular panels 6. Below each of them, there is a raw of axially (4) movable rods 3 with no space between them within a raw. Body 2 is embraced with magnetizing system 11. A medium to be separated is fed from below through branch pipe 1. Big magnetic inclusions are deposited on rods 3, and small ones in the charge 8. Purified medium gets out through branch pipe 10. To recovery matrix, magnetizing system is lifted and charge is dropped onto the bottom 5. Triangular panels 6 in this case press on skews of rods 3 resulted in diverging of rods to some angle, which facilitates and accelerates matrix recovery. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of separation process due to improved matrix recovery process. 2 dwg
