FIELD: nondestructive testing. SUBSTANCE: increased sensitivity is achieved by way of reduced variation of resultant signal due to chosen law of arrangement of eddy current converters and diagram of their connection. Key eddy current converters are installed one after another along protrusion or recess of scanned surface and supplementary converters are positioned with displacement with reference to key ones by distance multiple of period of change of shape of scanned surface. In this case thanks to differential connection of key and supplementary converters difference of signals of acquired pairs of converters depends mainly on presence of defects in object under test. EFFECT: increased sensitivity of detection of defects of surfaces. 1 dwg
