FIELD: preparation of luminescence color current controlled indicating instruments. SUBSTANCE: zinc sulfide is moistened with aqueous solutions of copper sulfate (the copper content is 0.1 wt %), aluminium chloride (the aluminium content is 1.0 wt %), cobalt sulfate (the cobalt content is 0.01 wt %) and sodium iodide (the iodide content is 17 wt %). The suspension is stirred and dried at 110-130 C, charged into quartz crucibles and calcined at 400-350 and 900-950 C and maintained kept at each stage for 0.5 to 1 hour. The luminophor is washed with water, dried and sieved. The luminophor comprises (wt %)% 0.03-0.05; copper; 0.3-0.5 aluminium; 0.0012-0.0016 cobalt; 0.4-0.6 iodine ions, and zinc sulfide, the balance. The luminophor has white heat at N=14 kV, 1 = 1.0 cm2 with coordinates x= 0.180 ± 0.025 and y = 0.3-10 + 0.02 and a non-linear current characteristic of α ≥ 2,5 2.5. The luminescence brightness is 163-250 m2. EFFECT: improved properties of the title product. 1 tbl
